AC Auto Body & Mechanical Service is an Official CT Emissions Program Test Station and the ONLY one in New Canaan, CT. Every effort will be made to complete your test promptly. However, occasionally unexpected delays may occur.
Passenger vehicles and light trucks (less than 10,000 lbs. GVWR) requiring VIN (vehicle identification number) verification can be done here at our Emissions Test Station.
Please remember to bring your emissions reminder form if you have it. If you are not sure when your vehicle is due for emissions testing, or have misplaced the form you received from the state, you can enter your VIN to determine your next test date.

CT Emissions Tips
Test Up to 90 Days Early
You can have your vehicle's emissions tested 90 days before its scheduled due date and still retain its current due date. This lets you plan ahead and avoid any last-minute rush. Testing MORE than 90 days early will set your next due date 2 years from the test date — some owners choose this to adjust an inconvenient test date.
Failed Test? You Have 60 Days
In the event of a failed Emissions Test, you have 60 calendar days from the initial fail to have your vehicle's emission problems repaired and re-tested. Let our almost 50 years of experience help diagnose and repair your emissions-related problems.
